LEADERSHIP
WORD OF THE WEEK:
WORK
LEADERSHIP
QUOTES OF THE WEEK:
“There has never
yet been a person in our history who led a life of ease
whose name is worth remembering." Theodore
Roosevelt
"Nothing ever comes
to one that is worth having except as a result of hard
work." Booker T.
Washington
“I found that the men and women who got to the top
were those who did the jobs they had in hand, with everything they had of energy and enthusiasm and hard
work.” Harry S.
Truman
“The
average person puts only 25% of his energy and ability into
his work. The world...stands on its head...for those few
and far between souls who devote 100%.” Andrew
Carnegie
“Men
are alike in their promises. It is only in their deeds that
they differ.” Charles H. Spurgeon
FIVE REASONS TO PRAISE THE
LORD FOR WORK
- If
you can work, it means you are blessed with health to do so;
many aren’t.
- Work
gives you an opportunity to utilize your God-given “creatability”.
-
Through your work you are enabled to feed, clothe, and bless
your family.
- Work
provides the “financial seed” to plant in the eternal
kingdom of our Christ.
-
While we are not saved by works, work allows me to partner
with my God.

Who does his task from day
to day
And meets whatever comes
his way,
Believing God has willed
it so,
Has found real greatness

SCRIPTURE
Genesis 2:1 Thus the heavens and
the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2And
on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he
rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
2Thessalonians 3:10 For even when
we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not
work, neither should he eat. 11For we hear that there
are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all,
but are busybodies. 12 Now them that are such we
command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness
they work, and eat their own bread.
Revelation 22:12 And,
behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give
every man according as his work shall be.
“I thank God for the health
and intellect to do meaningful work for my family and the
Kingdom.” JAS
