The most effective missions tool
reaching our generation for Christ.

As we enter 2005, the possibilities for
the Gospel have never been greater. The
call is coming from every corner of the
globe, “bring us the School of Christ.”
From Zimbabwe, one of the most troubled
countries in the world, the call has
come, not only to put the School in the
churches, but in 45 major prisons. The
government has authorized us to go into
the prisons with the school, and has
given us two hours a day to teach.
There are thousands of men and women in
those dark prisons waiting to hear the
good news. We must not fail them!
There are so many things I could share
in this letter, but more than anything,
I want to thank you for being my friend
and fellow laborer in this great work.
Your prayers for me are worth more to me
than the wealth of this world. Knowing
that you stand with me and pray for me
every day has carried me through many
impossible situations. There are times
when the weight of this ministry is
crushing, but in those times I have felt
your love and your prayers.
There is no doubt in my mind that you
and I have been brought together at this
time, for such a time as this. Since
the end is always contained in the
beginning and always returns there, this
final generation is destined to repeat
the success of the first generation.
This generation will be reached! You
and I have been called together to fill
a very large place in this final
harvest. If in fact we desire to reach
our generation, the only requirement is
to pray for God to give us this
generation, and believe that He will do
it. By the grace of God and the wisdom
of the Holy Spirit I wish now to show
you the simplicity of believing and
ultimately receiving. We look to Abraham
for our example.
“Abraham believed God and it was
accounted to him as righteousness.” Why?
Because he obeyed God’s new command.
Abraham came to God a sinner, to be
forgiven and to receive all good from
the mere grace of God. He simply
believed what God had said, and willed
to obey. He prostrated every doubt and
fear and objection of reason, before the
divine testimony and promise. He,
without hesitation, went to the mount of
sacrifice; never pausing to argue, to
see where help would come from, or how
God could make His own word good. You
see, in Abraham, that faith and works
are both fountain and stream. The one
is in the heart and invisible man until
it comes to the service in deeds. And
James said: “Seest thou how faith
wrought with his works?” If Abraham
had refused to obey God, because the
assignment was so hard his faith would
have proved itself to be a dead thing.
So we, if we pretend faith, and then
refuse to do what we believe to be the
will of God, we will prove ourselves
never to have believed from the heart in
Christ and the Gospel. Thus our deeds
and our words are to be brought to
judgment as a test of our faith or
unbelief. Words alone will not answer.
If we say to the hungry and the naked,
“be thou clothed and fed,” but do no
more, then we have not believed.
I sincerely believe that I speak by the
Spirit of God in saying to you; if you
and I will simply WILL TO DO THE WILL OF
GOD, both in our giving and our doing,
nothing can stop us from reaching this
generation for Christ. I ask you in the
name of Jesus, to ask the Lord what He
would have you to give to the School of
Christ in 2005, and, no matter how
impossible it may seem, ‘will to obey’
what He tells you. This is ‘the faith’
that is accounted for righteousness and
is ‘the faith’ that makes the impossible
possible.
Since 2000, the School has literally
been around the world. Bro. Clendennen
just recently returned from China,
Europe and Russia with the School. Our
latest report out of India is the
testimony of revival, a nation where one
of every six humans lives. We are
graduating four hundred students a
month, and they are spreading the flames
of revival across the sub-continent. The
School has been into Eygpt, Jordan,
Saudi Arabia and will be going into
Israel soon. If all goes as planned, in
the next twelve months we will have the
School in every Muslim nation.
The first week of October, 2004, we
opened the first School of Christ in
Albania. Albania is the modern name of
Illyricum mentioned in Romans 15:19.
From Albania, in the next eighteen
months, we will disciple Montenegro,
Kosovo, Macedonia and Greece. We will
rekindle the fire started by the Apostle
Paul two thousand years ago
In August of last year, the School of
Christ was named the official voice for
69 prisons in 27 states. The prison
officials have given us two hours a day,
five days a week.
October of 2004 was our twelfth year. In
that short time, the School of Christ
has literally covered the globe making
it perhaps the most effective missions
tool ever. We are now in well over 100
nations and the demand for the school
continues to grow. (Attached is a
list of the countries we are in
today.) The pace at which the school is
now moving defies imagination; this can
only be by the workings of the Holy
Spirit.
God bless you and give you the greatest
year ever,
Bro. Clendennen
