As many of you know, 2004 was a very
difficult year for the troubled nation
of Haiti. A few days after we left
Haiti, Haitian President Aristide fled
the country. President Aristide is
living in exile, but seems to have
influence in the country. The United
States sent U.S. Marines to Haiti to
restore some order to the country, and
the situation there is getting better.
Because of your giving, we continue to
operate Christian Schools…from a remote
jungle area of Haiti to Cite-Soleil.
Since the typical Haitian family cannot
afford to send their children to school,
we are giving these children an
opportunity to receive an education.
Hundreds of young lives are receiving
their education as well as being touched
by the influence of Haitian teachers
that love God! Eager young minds are
learning to read and write…and also
learning of the love of Christ! Even
when we are not on the mission field
physically, this ministry is constantly
working with others to introduce Christ
to those that have never heard the Good
News of Jesus Christ! These schools
continue to be a lighthouse in a dark
world! Our desire is to keep these
schools open, to light the way for the
precious children of this troubled
land. With this opportunity to attend
school and receive Christian training,
they will be more prepared to live in a
productive life…and prepare for the life
everlasting!
We will be in Haiti in January 2005 for
“Christmas”. Plans are to take small
toys, candy, and clothing to the orphans
and school children. We will be taking
gifts to the teachers, directors and
pastors. We are currently raising funds
for Haitian Bibles to distribute. There
is no greater gift to give than the
“Word of God”! Rev. Randy Perry and Jim
Rimer plan to join us on our January
trip. We desire your prayers for a safe
and prosperous trip.
May God continue to bless you for your
faithfulness to this ministry. Without
your prayers and financial support, none
of this would be possible. It is our
desire to reach the Haitians with the
Gospel.
