News Outreach
WYGE is a 25,000
watt Christian radio station in
London, KY. Owned and managed by
Gene and Ethel Huff, the radio
station raised its tower on Raccoon
Mountain in June of 1994 and began
broadcasting on Thanksgiving Day of
that same year. Reaching
Southeastern and South central
Kentucky, WYGE is committed to
quality Christian broadcasting. The
station offers a blend of excellent
syndicated programming, local
broadcasts and uplifting Christian
music. The music played on WYGE is
a unique combination of praise and
worship, soft contemporary and
quality southern gospel. WYGE radio
is a ministry of Goodnews Outreach,
Inc.
Thousands of songs,
sermons and timely messages of
encouragement have been received
from this station. God has been so
faithful to provide for WYGE. We
started on a shoe-string and yet,
the Lord was in our beginning, and
has accompanied us every step of the
way. To this date, we have been
victorious as we have dealt with
problems with the FAA, and microwave
interruptions that necessitated
putting up an additional STL tower
in 2001.
We live in the age of
computers, high technology, internet
and an active enemy. Scripture
refers to Satan as, “the prince of
the power of the air”. Because we
actively invade Satan’s “air-space”,
we often are the target of his
attacks. It is only through your
prayerful support that we can hope
to succeed in the mission to which
the Lord has called us.
These
past nine years at WYGE have been
exciting and sometimes overwhelming,
as the Huffs have continually been
challenged by this ministry. So
much has been accomplished for the
Kingdom in this medium of
communication.
In the '80's new doors began to
open in missionary evangelism and
Gene and Ethel began involving in
short-term missions, primarily in
Europe but also in Asia and Africa.
This ministry continues as Good News
Outreach and is an active, vital
mission support ministry...both
foreign and domestic.
As they acknowledge God's
faithfulness in their lives for the
past 52+ years, Gene and Ethel Huff
look forward to what the Lord still
has planned for them.
